As part of my work as a Gerontologist, I have several opportunities to work with non-profit agencies in BC and in Canada.
Many of you may be aware of the work I’m doing with Family Caregivers of BC which is a nonprofit organization dedicated 100% to supporting family caregivers – the first organization of its kind in Canada. A family caregiver is anyone who cares for an adult family member or friend because of disease, disability or frailty due to ageing.
The mission of the organization is to inform, support and educate to improve quality of life for family caregivers. The society provides leadership to strengthen the voice of family caregivers and promotes the significance of the family caregivers’ role.
If you are a family caregiver living in BC, bookmark familycaregiversbc.ca right now! And get on the e-list by subscribing here.
Family Caregivers of BC has the opportunity to write for Inspired Senior Living. Our latest article called, “Refill Your Cup” is about the importance of renewal and self-cafe for familly caregivers. You can find the article here.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. If you are looking for more information regarding caregiver tips and advice, you can find more of Wendy’s articles at Keystone Eldercare Solutions. The highest compliment or thanks we could receive would be a referral from you. My business is growing because of referrals from clients like you, and I thank you for your thoughtfulness in the passing of my name.
