What people are saying about us ..
My father has been battling cancer and mental health issues for almost a decade now. In October 2015 things escalated and my mom and I found ourselves trying to navigate through a health system that can be very confusing and impossible to deal with at times.
I contacted Wendy asking for help and she has been excellent guiding my mom and I through this exhausting process. Not only does Wendy have extensive knowledge of our health system relating to senior care, but her own personal experiences that she has endured has made us feel like we aren’t the only ones suffering through this.
Wendy is an excellent resource, she is personable, sincere and most importantly she knows her stuff. She can help you. She has helped my mom and I and we are grateful.

Wendy Johnstone is an amazing individual, an unequivocal expert in the field of gerontology and I hold her in the highest regard. I trust her completely to give me excellent advice and information when I’m making difficult and sometimes emotional decisions about my parents’ care. Some examples of how Wendy has helped me over the years: Wendy assisted me in creating a handicapped-accessible home for my father; she taught me in an 8-week group session on how to to care for my aging parents; she gave me advice on how to find financial resources for a stroke survivor and she has authored a must-read workbook called, “Get Your Eldercare Affairs in Order”. I’ve also learned a lot from her weekly columns in the local newspaper addressing various senior issues. Wendy is very knowledgeable about the health care system as it relates to the aging population and how to navigate it, knowing exactly which resource to tap into to answer a question or solve a problem. Best of all, Wendy is a caring and positive person who has a genuine love and passion for the elderly in our community. I have and will continue to recommend Wendy Johnstone.

“Wendy is a very professional & compassionate woman who helps caregivers map our way through “the system” while we work with aging parents and loved ones who need our support. When seeking advice & guidance on my own aging parents, Wendy gave me suggestions and ideas that were extremely helpful. I faithfully read Wendy’s column in the newspaper and regularly refer to her website and blog for information. She has a very calming way of writing about such a sensitive subject.”

Wendy Johnstone has been our “life line” for the past several months; her support system is amazing. After our father had a stroke, Wendy helped our family navigate through difficult decisions in a caring and professional manner. Wendy provided tremendous insight and resources as well as a warm heart in times that were totally overwhelming. Her informative and efficient service helped to guide us and to accomplish more than we ever could have ever done on our own. Wendy is passionate about her business and her clients and it is evident in every visit, telephone call, and email. If you are looking for assistance with an aging family member, I would strongly recommend using Wendy Johnstone as there is no doubt you will be comforted by her kind and considerate nature, her excellent advice, and outstanding services.

“Wendy is an organized, informative and compassionate advocate for the elderly. I instantly felt at ease with her. Even with the distance between me and my dad, I was able to communicate effectively with her over the phone and through email. When I did meet her in person this only improved. She was very helpful in guiding me through the overwhelming and sometimes confusing task of developing a future life plan for my father who has Alzheimer’s. Most important to me was the fact that she was a good listener and worked with me to develop a plan that felt right for my dad. Honoring my dad’s individuality was very important to me. I highly recommend Wendy.”

“I am so thankful that I was referred to you. I have total peace of mind in terms of the care for my Mom, the process to get things enacted and the terrific follow up reports on her current status. I am very glad that she is able to remain in the same community where she and my father spent their lives. That means a great deal to me.”
